CABRILLO BOAT SHOP YARD RULES & POLICIES
To ensure the safety of its valued customers, employees, and environment, as well as efficiency of business operations, adhere to the following Cabrillo Boat Shop(CBS) yard rules and Policies.
1. Owner or agent thereof may not, under any circumstances, attempt to shift stands or blocks, securing vessel for any reason. Any owner or agent thereof wishing to shift positioning of vessel must schedule with the CBS office. If owner/agent thereof attempts to shift stands or move blocks the owner/agent will be charged a minimum of 4 hours at $132 an hour. Initial: _____________
2. CBS does not provide ladders, scaffolds, tarps, tools, or supplies to owners or agents thereof. Owners or agents thereof may NOT use CBS equipment of any kind without written permission from the CBS office.
3. No scraping or cleaning of vessels is allowed in the water or on the grounds.
4. Owner or agent must totally contain work area with weighted tarps. Work area is defined as: the bow to stern of the boat and 4 feet on each side from the track on which it sits.
5. The entire work area must be clean after each workday. A $132 per hour fee will be charged if CBS is required to clean.
6. Subcontractors MUST provide insurance prior to entering the yard and sign liability waiver.
7. Spray painting is not allowed.
8. Welding is not allowed.
9. Pressure washing is not allowed. CBS only allows boatyard personnel to pressure wash boats.
10. All work and materials must comply with EPA and OSHA regulations.
11. Refrain from talking to or interrupting the CBS workers. Contact the CBS office if you need assistance at any time.
12. Extremely fouled vessels will incur additional charges at $132 per hour for extra cleaning or extra prep for bottom paint. (i.e. excessive growth, excessive wear of bottom paint.)
13. Vessels requiring a diver may be subject to additional charges of $132 per hour or diver’s fees.
14. All flat rates are based on a per foot basis using overall length of vessel.
15. All flat rates are subject to California sales tax on materials.
16. A 50% non-refundable deposit is due at time of scheduling. (Deposit must be equal to minimum cost of haul out or greater.)
17. All fees must be paid prior to launch. Lay-days may apply at the rate of $5.00 per foot per day or $200.00 which is greater.
18. CBS is not liable for damage to vessel resulting in the vessel’s inability to withstand haul and/or launch due to age or construction deficiencies. CBS is not liable for vessels that cannot withstand blocking or offloading from straps to stands. CBS is not liable for damage to wooden vessels. CBS is not liable for damage to vessels while at waterway or dock. Initial: _____________
19. Fees will be payable to CBS to correct any violation of any Yard Rules at $132 per hour.
20. It is the DIY owner's responsibility to ensure that their boats are ready for launch at 7:30am on launch day. Owner must also ensure their boat and/or paint is protected from straps, equipment, or docks. (i.e. provide protection, foam, fenders, dock lines, etc.)
21. CBS must have 24-hour notice prior to launch.
22. NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS ARE PERMITTED ON THE PREMISES OF CABRILLO BOAT YARD.
23. You may not enter the crane yard at any time. When crane is operating you must be located north of CBS office.
24. If you are NOT a DIY client, you may not board / work on your vessel without notifying and clearing with the CBS office. If you are on your vessel, you will be charged a lay day.
25. All DYI paint, primer and barrier coat is purchased through CBS office.
26. CBS IS CLOSED SATURDAY AND SUNDAY AND NOT ALLOWED IN YARD FOR DIY.
27. No photo or video recording allowed on the premise of CBS without our permission.
28. TURN OFF YOUR MASTER ELECTRICITY!
29. CBS is an alcohol and smoke free environment. No smoking allowed.
The undersigned understands and agrees to all terms of the Yard Rules set forth above and will be responsible for (1) any fee(s) assessed by CBS for violations thereof; and (2) any fine(s) assessed by the EPA or OSHA for any violation(s) of any EPA or OSHA regulations(s).
