Do-it-yourself WORK IN OUR BOATYARD

If you wish to work on your own boat, you may do so from

Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.  There are no Lay-Day fees on weekends!  Check out our “Yard Rules” and “Frequently Asked Questions” for more details.

Cabrillo Boat Shop uses a 75-ton crane which comfortably allows us to haul up to 55k. We can handle all haul out needs from surveys to extended service with the use of multiple spreader bars for a variety of vessel lifts.

Cabrillo Boat Shop offers a bottom package that includes:

*Standard haul/launch

*30-minute hydro wash

*Basic bottom prep

*Scraping of thru-hulls

*1 rolled coat of anti-fouling paint on bottom

*2 coats on water line/thru-hulls.

This package does not include removal of excess marine growth, priming of bare spots, blister work, or removal of flaking paint.

We can customize any bottom job to fit your boat’s needs.

 Cabrillo Boat Shop can provide top-level hull and mechanical maintenance as well as: 

*Electrical and plumbing

 *Shaft removal and straightening

*Propeller removal and balancing

*Engine to shaft alignment

*Rudder bearings, etc.

*Blister repair as well as structural fiberglass repair and fabrication

  Cabrillo Boat Shop offers mast stepping and unstepping, engine removal/replacement, hardtop replacement, trailer hauling or launching, as well as vessel loading and prepping for truck/trailer long hauls.  

 Masts can be pulled and loaded for off-site work or Cabrillo Boat Shop can  store your mast and provide workspace for you to DIY.   Lay days will be  assessed for mast work.  If you chose  to have Cabrillo Boat Shop work on your mast, no lay days will be  assessed.
